The big news is that RBI (Reserve bank of India) has introduced new Rs.200 note. Yes, as per the official notification by the finance ministry of India, the new note of Rs.200 will be available from 1st week of September, 2017 only. After demonetization, when Rs.500 and Rs.1000’s notes were banned (in November, 2016), than after government of India and RBI had introduced Rs.2000’s note and all new Rs.500 of new note. But there are been many complaints that people find it difficult to change the Rs.2000’s note. To answer that query, RBI has finally announced the Rs.200’s note.

Currently, all the currency printing press in india are busy printing new notes of Rs.200. While we shouldn’t forget to mention that RBI has introduced new version of Rs.50 note last week only. The new banknotes of Rs.50 to have “Hampi with Chariot” picture on the back which is culture heritage of india. Though, this time RBI hasn’t made any surprise and old values of Rs.50 and all other dimension to continue with Rs.200’s new note.
Unlike, earlier when Prime Minister of India had announced demonetization which wiped out 86% of currency from Indian market. The aim to introduce demonetization was to counter the terror funding and black money in india.
The things are not going to stop here only. As per the sources, the new note of Rs.100 to be announced very soon. Though, the old one will continue even then. Changing old notes with new notes gives more security features and can also help to control misuses of banknotes.
